BROOKLYN, NEW YORK
Kineret has been in business as a flower shop for over forty years. Although once popular, younger shops opened up over time that eventually crowded out this venerable brand. With an aging client base, and new flower trends cropping up, Kineret simply couldn’t compete.
Anecdote took a step back to look at the store’s identity from a holistic standpoint. While old, Kineret was still very much a household name, known especially for their great customer service, so we sought to breathe new life into the brand rather than start over with a whole new identity. Researching the market trends, we saw a way to make them stand out. In a generic world of modern aesthetic, we decided to embrace Kineret’s rich heritage. We redesigned their logo with a tagline that celebrates their history, and furnished a warm interior design for their store. In creating their brand identity, we went so far as to brainstorm the proper presentation for their products—craft paper and twine to wrap their flower bouquets.
Kineret enjoys a dramatic increase in sales and event design, and is now recognized as the contender its roots suggest it is.
